The Ambassadors Committee is made up of industry leaders representing the diversity of our local economy that are active in Chamber networking events, providing referrals, and local marketing programs. Ambassadors promote the Chamber while cultivating business-to -business connections to new, prospective and current members. Ambassadors serve as model Chamber business professionals that utilize and understand the full advantage of member benefits.
If you are a Chamber member and interested in joining this dynamic team, contact the Chamber at 996-1033 or email email@example.com.
Each month we profile one of our Chamber ambassadors.
Ambassador profile: David Wells
I am a part of the A. Bright Idea team, working in Sonoma for four years. A. Bright Idea is a full-service marketing, PR, advertising, graphic design and website agency offering a multitude of communications services since 1996. After growing up in a similar small town just outside of Baltimore, I quickly fell in love with this community and everything it has to offer including friends, events, businesses and the outdoors. I am an avid runner, photographer, traveler, foodie, farmers market attendee, and wine drinker, working at Benziger Family Winery on the weekends.
Companies are increasingly turning to digital platforms for communications, such as social media, mobile websites, online advertising and email newsletters. This is a trend that will likely continue as new technologies become available, making it difficult to break through the clutter to reach your audience. That’s why a solid brand and marketing strategy are crucial.
I love getting involved and giving back to the community, acting as an Ambassador to the Sonoma Valley Chamber of Commerce, volunteering with the Mentoring Alliance, serving on the Sonoma Valley Teen Services Cowboy Cab marketing committee and leading Sonoma’s Young Professionals. In marketing, I work with Sonoma Valley clients including Transcendence Theatre Company, The Red Grape, Sonoma Valley Education Foundation, Grapevine Catering, Sonoma Stompers and the Sonoma Valley Community Health Center among others. I also help run SomethingAboutSonoma.com and have received my Certified Tourism Ambassador (CTA) certification.
The chamber has been a great place for me to network and meet our prominent community businesses and help grow the Sonoma economy.
